"Echoes'' of Georgian and World Music from the 60's

Tsiskvili “Theatre” presents a series of musical evenings from the “Echo” project. Exclusively for the Theatre's audience, the new project will combine music from different eras, styles, and genres, with artistic, charismatic, and spectacular staging. Modern echoes will introduce you to the news in Georgian and world music.

On April 12, at 8:00 PM, the first evening premiere will be held, dedicated to the theme of the 60's.

The music of the 60s reminds us of that era:

• When the Broadway musical "West Side Story" broke attendance records, and delighted spectators at La Scala in Milan cheered Sukhishvili fourteen times, calling them to the stage;
• When Americans walked on the moon for the first time, and the long-awaited subway in Tbilisi opened, with the first express departing from "Didube" station;
• When Otar Ioseliani was filming "Giorgobisve," Reziko Beltadze was singing "Tolia," and Kuchkuchi was killing his mother-in-law because of football, Pipinia Eristavi dreamed of a therapist a quiet and family-loving daughter-in-law;
• When one of the Georgian families of "Orera," including Revaz Lagidze and Konstantine Pevzner, filled the air with their songs, while secretly, so no one would hear, others listened to forbidden music—the rock and roll of "The Beatles" and Elvis Presley;
• When romance, poetry, and a wonderful way of spending time were family-friendly gatherings in Georgian reality.

Georgian retro music, American funk, rock 'n' roll, and twist; French chanson; Georgian and world news of the 60s, told with a modern echo of Brazilian bossa nova.
