For the third consecutive year, Tsiskvili’s Theatre has been delighting its guests with outstanding shows and musicals.

Past productions have included “And Here We Are – Mamma Mia!” and the Broadway-licensed musical Chicago. What sets Tsiskvili’s Theatre apart is its exclusive concept — where the performance, service, and gastronomy come together to create a single, immersive experience.

The 2025 season opens on a grand scale.

On May 20, 21, and 22, the stage of Tsiskvili’s Theatre will host the premiere of the first legendary Georgian musical — Melodies of Verisubani, by Giorgi Shengelaia and Anzor Salukvadze, featuring the immortal music of Gogi Tsabadze and unforgettable lyrics by Moris Potskhishvili.

Creative Team:
Stage Director: Zaal Chikobava
Set Designer: Tamar Potskhishvili
Costume Designer: Ana Ninua
Choreographer: Giorgi Toriashvili
Vocal Coach: Tamar Archvadze

This unique performance, considered one of the city's most anticipated cultural events, will be held in combination with a fine dining experience, led by brand chef Alex Natadze.

Partners of the legendary musical Melodies of Verisubani include:
TBC Concept, Citizen, Borjomi, Bene, Chivas 18, Guremani, and Vake. The official media partner of the musical is Palitra Media Holding.

“Our team began working on the musical Melodies of Verisubani a year ago.
We took on a great responsibility — this is Georgian cinema at its finest: the first Georgian musical, created by true legends of Georgian art.

What makes it even more significant is that this will be the first time a Georgian musical is staged at Tsiskvili’s Theatre.

The creative process was incredibly interesting, though not without its challenges over the past year. Now, we’re just days away from the premiere, where audiences will finally see the result of our work.

Preparations are in full swing — costumes are being sewn, sets are being built, and the actors are undergoing vocal training.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us throughout this journey — especially the Tsiskvili Group.
I would also like to thank Nikoloz Rachveli for his extraordinary arrangement of the music, which was recorded by the Evgeni Mikeladze Symphony Orchestra and provided to us by the Vaso Abashidze New Theatre — special thanks to David Doiashvili for that.
And finally, sincere thanks to Zurab Laliashvili for his work in finalizing the backing tracks.
We’ll see you at the premiere!”
— Zaal Chikobava, Artistic Director of Tsiskvili’s Theatre and Stage Director of Melodies of Verisubani

Melodies of Verisubani Brings the Stories of the City’s Oldest District to the Stage

At Tsiskvili’s Theatre, audiences will once again meet the beloved characters — the pharmacist Pavle and his girls, the washerwoman Vardo, the dance class teachers, the Pristavi, and Agha-Georka.

The story unfolds with themes of unspoken love, a crime committed out of kindness, and a sentence overturned by the will of the people.

The musical captures the atmosphere of old Vera, brought to life through music, choreography, and stunning visual aesthetics.

This classic masterpiece of Georgian cinema will be presented on stage faithfully and without alteration, preserving its original charm and spirit.
